花下醉
寻芳不觉醉流霞[1]，
倚树沉眠[2]日已斜。
客散酒醒深夜后，
更持红烛赏残花。
诗人对花陶醉流连，因为爱花，所以怀着浓厚的兴致去“寻芳”，竟不知不觉地“醉”了。直到日斜夜深，客人已经散去，酒也已经醒了，四周是一片夜的朦胧与沉寂。夜色中，诗人持烛赏残花，别有一番滋味。
注释：
[1]流霞：神话传说中一种仙酒。《论衡·道虚》上说，项曼卿好道学仙，离家三年而返，自言：“欲饮食，仙人辄饮我以流霞。每饮一杯，数日不饥。”此处是将似锦的繁花比作漫天的流霞之意。
[2]沉眠：醉酒之后的深睡。
Intoxicated with Flowers
Drinking with rainbow cloud and flowers blooming bright,
Under a tree I fall asleep till sunset looms.
Guests gone,and sobered from wine in the deep of night,
Candle in hand,I go to see the overbloom.
