高台不可望，
望远使人愁。
连山无断绝，
河水复悠悠。
所思竟何在？
洛阳南陌头[1]。
可望不可见，
何用解人忧？

On the Height
Shen Yue
Don’t climb up on the height!
You’ll be grieved at the sight.
Hills stretch without an end;
Into the sky streams blend.
Where is the one I miss?
South of Luoyang he is.
I gaze but see him not.
How can he be forgot?
