Nature of Institutions

Anhui Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public general higher education institution directly under the Department of Education of Anhui Province. It is a national exemplary higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior vocational college and a provincial technical high-level university construction unit.

History

The school was founded in 1958 and was upgraded to “Anhui Textile Institute of Technology” in 1960; it held higher vocational education in 1999 and was one of the first vocational colleges in Anhui Province approved by the Ministry of Education. In 2003, it was renamed Anhui Vocational and Technical College approved by the provincial government. In 2014, the “four-year consistent system” applied undergraduate education was jointly organized with Hefei University. In 2021, it will cooperate with Anhui Jianzhu University to hold college-level education.

Infrastructure

The school is located in the Higher Education Base of Xinzhan District, Hefei City, covering an area of 1,298 acres, with supporting facilities and complete functions.
