Changjiang Polytechnic is a public institution of higher vocational education.With the approval by the Ministry of Education of Peoples’ Republic of China , it is Sponsored by provincial government of Hubei Province and is under the direct administration of Hubei Provincial Government of Education. It is located in the centre area of National Hi-Tech Development Zone-Optics Valley and by coast of beautiful South Lake in Wuhan.The Polytechnic has two campuses in Optics Valley center and Gedian Economic&Technological Development Zone, with a total area of 0.5 million square meters anda total floor space of more than 0.3million square meters.

Relying on the industrial development of Optics Valley Development Zone and Gedian Economic&Technological Development Zone , We adhere to the spirit of reform and innovation in Hubei Province and is thriving to provide and develop individualised study approaches and options for applicants with varied educational backgrounds, thus opening our college and offering a range of paths for lifelong learning and studying.

Since its establishment in 1984, Changjiang Polytechnic(earlier named as Hubei University of Economics and Management) have cultivated over 180,000 graduates. We have constantly innovated new teaching philosophies, systems for school running and talent training models, thereby retaining top position among many areas of Hubei’s higher vocational education. Many graduates have become the leading pioneers in the society. Among them are the representatives like Li Shufu- founder and chairman of GEELY HOLDING GROUP, An conghui- president of GEELY, which is famous for taking over the Swedish carmaker Volvo from Ford Motor Co.

Changjiang Polytechnic is ranked 85th on the national top 100 rich-making universities in 2012 and on the Chinese College Competitiveness ranking list, our college is placed the 44th amongst 1322 vocational colleges of the whole nation. Our graduates competitiveness ranked 85thamong more than 1400 vocational colleges’ graduates around the whole China.

We offer degree courses and continuing education program in 12 secondary schools (the School of Art and Design, School of Finance and Accounting,School of E-commerce and Logistics,School of Tourism and Information, School of Electromechanics and Automobile, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Biological Medicine, School of Music and Media, School of Continuing Education, School of International Studies, Department of Common Required Courses and Practical Teaching Center), providing 50 specialties in 9 disciplines.

There are more than 700 teaching staff members at Changjiang Polytechnic, including 87 teachers with high-ranking professional titles, over 300 teachers with associate titles, 6 Chutian skilled master approved by the Ministry of Education.

Holding numbers of provincial key majors, provincial teaching teams, provincial excellent courses and provincial skill-distinguished teachers, Changjiang Polytecnic also embraces with 5 national Practice Bases for the major of Animation Production ,the major of Marketing, the major of Biological Technology, the major of Medicine and Food Inspection,the major of Computer Application,and with national talent cultivation base for logistics vocational education .

Changjiang Polytecnic leads the construction of Animation Vocational Education Group of Hubei Province, which is entitled to be the brand construction program for the animation vocational education and one of top 10 brand programs of vocational education in Hubei Province.

Our college is entitled by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of information construction test unit. We own Hubei skilled talent cultivation research center, which is the only one key base among Hubei vocational colleges studying humanities and social science.
