About Chengdu Textile College
Chengdu Textile College (CDTC) was founded in 1939, which was previously named the Central Acrobat and Art College.Chengdu Textile College has international students from Laos, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Nepal and other countries, and the South Essex School in the United Kingdom jointly runs art and design majors. Since 2013, the school has enrolled international students and has enrolled 216 international students. Apart from that, from 2015 to 2019, Lao students have represented the school in many provincial and national Chinese language competitions and won excellent results. So far, our school has successfully held four “Belt and Road” International Culture and Art Weeks. Projects have been established for “Hand Printing and Dyeing and Digital Printing and Dyeing”, “Shu-Brocade and Shu-Embroidery”, “Hand Knitting”, “Handmade Cheongsam Customization”, “Chinese Calligraphy and Painting”, “Ceramic Seal Cutting”, “Ming and Qing Furniture Appreciation”, “Chinese Ancient Architecture” “Appreciation”, “Situational Chinese” and other international exchange courses. International fashion shows were held during the Art Week, and more than 140 international teachers and students were trained in practical workshops on Shu-Brocade embroidery, hand-printing and dyeing, Chinese knot weaving and paper-cutting, and the school’s high-quality and characteristic vocational education resources were used to inherit, promote and spread Chinese traditional culture and handicrafts skill.
The school employs four non-linguistic professors all year round. The school has established long-term friendly cooperative relations with more than 30 colleges and education and training institutions in the United States, Germany, France, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions to carry out inter-school exchanges and cooperation, and jointly implement teachers Programs such as professional teaching method training in Germany, students studying in Germany, students studying in Malaysia, students studying in the United States during summer vacation, and ESL courses. The school has established a training department abroad to carry out cross-border exchanges and learning activities between teachers and students all year round. In recent years, more than 500 teachers and students have gone to study and exchange abroad, and more than 300 experts, scholars and students from abroad have come to the school to give lectures or visits.
