About Chongqing College Of Architecture And Technology

Established in 1984, Chongqing College Of Architecture And Technology is one of key colleges in Chongqing. It is registered in the Ministry of Education and administered by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.

Located in university town, CREC covers an area of 149 acres. There are around 8,000 full-time students and more than 500 teachers (including 262 teachers with advanced degree , 148 professors) . CREC has a number of high-level experts, with strong teaching and research capability. CREC is a highly respected college for the rate of student obtain employment maintains 99% above for the past nine years.

CREC focuses on architectural modernization, green building intelligence, new type construction industrialization and construction industry information. It has built up to the civil class (characterized by prefabricated construction technology), high-level equipment manufacturing (characterized by industrial robots), information technology (featured with BIM and VR technology), modern service industry, real estate development and management and art design （characterized by environment and decoration ideas).There are51 majors in architectural design, including civil architecture, equipment manufacturing, electronic information, finance and business, tourism, culture and art. Our college has established the first private university academician expert workstation (provincial level) in Chongqing and invited professor Jiang huancheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, as our distinguished professor. Meanwhile, CREC has established virtual reality content production and motion sensing equipment r&d engineering center (provincial level). Cloudera Big Data Academy, the first big data academy in Chongqing,also has been established.

CREC has established cooperative relations with more than 100 companies, including ZTE, Hualong Network, Alibaba, Huashu Robot Corp., and the WorldViz Company. The college has built the prefabricated construction engineering center, VR display and technology center, industrial robot research and training center, etc. which has carried out active cooperations with leading enterprises in their respective fields. CREC cooperates with BiW (a German firm), Southampton Solent University (a British University ) and Hungarian universities in offering joint training of 2+2 degrees or programs.

With more than 30 years development, the college has been widely known as one of the best colleges in Chongqing. Meanwhile, it is also famous for the characteristics of safe and inviting campus.

As a “Double hundred demonstration action” unit, entrepreneurship demonstration base for college students,C R E C was set up jointly by the local education advanced units, the fifth vocational school named Huang yanpei and Chongqing education group .In the 2018-2019 competitiveness ranking of China’s vocational and technical colleges, the college has ranked the first among 18 private colleges and universities in Chongqing for three consecutive years. CREC is ranked 356 among 1386 higher vocational and technical colleges in China, respectively 4 and 111 higher than that in 2017.The teaching and research project “Innovation and Practice of Integration Between Higher Vocational Colleges and Characteristics of Talent Cultivation”was awarded the first prize for teaching achievement prize in Chongqing.
