JiuZhou Polytechnic was founded in 1993 and is a full-time provincial private college. The college is located at the southern foot of Xuzhou Quanshan Scenic Area, adjacent to Xuzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The college has invested a total of 300 million yuan, with a school building area of 150,000 square meters, and has built teaching, training, living, and cultural and sports facilities for 6,000 students. The college actively strengthens the cooperation with neighboring strong schools, including China University of Mining and Technology, to share superior faculty and educational resources. The college has 8 functional training areas for rehabilitation treatment, construction engineering, etc., a total of 97 on-campus experimental training rooms, 43 compact off-campus internship training bases, established corporate practice teaching departments in 19 companies, and hired relevant companies to be responsible He serves as the director of the practice teaching department. The college and listed companies Yunyi Electric Co., Ltd., Huaihai Holding Group and other units jointly built a shared training base with an area of 83,000 square meters, and the total value of shared training equipment is nearly 40 million yuan. At present, the college has one Jiangsu Engineering Technology Research Center—the prefabricated underground pipe gallery engineering technology research and development center of higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province; two municipal engineering technology research centers—Xuzhou prefabricated building informatization cloud Engineering Technology Research Center, Xuzhou Permeable Concrete Testing Engineering Technology Research Center.

The school’s running level and the quality of talent training have been continuously improved, and the school’s characteristics have gradually been demonstrated. Some landmark construction results have been achieved in the construction of quality engineering: the construction engineering technology major of our hospital was selected as the provincial high-level backbone major; the rehabilitation treatment technology major of our hospital is regarded as Xuzhou City Special needs majors and key construction majors have been approved for the city’s consignment. The college has established two provincial-level specialty majors-construction engineering technology, applied electronic technology; and has a provincial-level higher vocational college experimental training demonstration base-electronics and embedded system technology training base. Three majors including construction engineering technology, mechatronics technology, and automobile inspection and maintenance technology were selected as Xuzhou Brand Characteristic Majors; three cooperative enterprises were selected as Xuzhou “School-Enterprise Cooperation Demonstration Enterprises”.

The college pays attention to the quality and efficiency of running a school, and pays attention to the construction of the connotation of the development of the college. In November 2014, the college successfully passed the evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges organized by the Provincial Department of Education. The college plays the function of serving the society and has hosted many large-scale sports events and social activities including the Provincial Games.
