About Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering

Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering, located in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, is a public full-time ordinary college, formerly known as Liaoning Forestry Vocational and Technical College and Liaoning Water Conservancy Vocational College. Both schools were founded in 1951, with 70 years of school history, rich school experience and distinctive characteristics. In August 2018, in accordance with the spirit of the 103rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, the two universities merged to form Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering.

Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering is divided into two campuses: the south campus is located in Sujiatun District, Shenyang City, with a total area of 477000 square meters; the north campus is located in Shenbei New District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, with a total area of 85000 square meters, the new campus covers an area of 383500 square meters, and the experimental forest farm has a forest area of 40.67 million square meters.

The College is a demonstration higher vocational college in Liaoning Province, one of the top 50 universities with typical employment of graduates in China, one hundred national pilot schools of modern apprenticeship, a demonstration school of entrepreneurship education in Liaoning Province, a chairman unit of the China Northern Modern Forestry Vocational Education Group, a director unit of the National Committee for Cultural Education and Biological Civilization Construction, a chairman unit of the Liaoning Ecological and Environmental Protection Industry School Enterprise Alliance Chairman unit of Liaoning Ecological Construction and Environmental Protection Vocational Education Group.

The College has a strong faculty. There are 782 faculty members and 560 full-time teachers, including 52 professors and 156 associate professors; 16 doctoral students and 357 master’s students; Among them, there are 9 provincial famous teachers, 6 industrial famous teachers, 13 provincial professional leaders, 5 provincial young scientific research backbones, and 4 provincial excellent teaching teams in higher education.

At present, the College has 12565 full-time students. It has 12 secondary schools, including Forestry College, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College, Landscape College, Water Conservancy Engineering College, Electrical Engineering College, Wood Engineering College, Surveying and Mapping Engineering College, Ecotourism College, Environmental Art College, Information Engineering College, Economics and Management College, Marxism College, and 2 teaching departments, including the Foundation Department and Physical Education Department. It has forestry technology, garden technology, water conservancy engineering Furniture design and manufacturing, forest eco-tourism, construction engineering technology, power supply technology, engineering measurement technology, computer application technology, e-commerce and other 67 majors and 19 professional directions.

The College has 4 national key training bases, 9 key training bases in Liaoning Province, 211 on campus training bases and various professional laboratories and specimen rooms, of which biotechnology (horticulture) training bases, furniture design and manufacturing bases are national projects, and 174 off campus training bases. It has 6 national professional resource banks, 1 national excellent resource sharing course, 1 national excellent course and 11 provincial excellent courses. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 108.65 million yuan, with 619000 books. It has 2 national key specialties, 2 national industry key specialties, 3 high-level characteristic specialty groups in Liaoning Province, and 7 demonstration specialties in Liaoning Province; There are 7 brand specialties in Liaoning Province, and 7 docking industry cluster demonstration specialties in Liaoning Province.

The College students work actively and have rich cultural life. There are 43 student associations, such as Love Club, Craftsman Club, Green Leaf Association, E Times Association, Mingli Society, Photography Association, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis and Feathers, with various forms of activities. The school has gymnasium, outdoor lighting court and other facilities to meet various activities and large gatherings.

We have established school enterprise cooperation with more than 500 enterprises, such as Elion Ecological Restoration Co., Ltd., Liaoning Sanyou Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Shuanghui Group, Shengxiang Group, Hilton Global Hotel Group, Shanghai Disneyland, Liaoning Hongtu Chuangzhan Surveying and Mapping Co., Ltd., which provides more than 12000 jobs for nearly 4000 graduates every year. The employment rate has always remained above 95%, ranking among the top vocational colleges in China.
