Advantages

Since 2005,West Anhui University has been taking an active step towards overseas exchanges and cooperation with universities and scientific institutes in Britain, France, Finland, Canada, Thailand, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore,Malaysia, Korea and Hong Kong, Tai Wan, etc.

At present, there are three major forms for the international exchange and cooperation. The explanations as follows:

1、The short-period exchange projects at students’ summer vacation, a short study term, and paid internship , etc.

2、The project with different forms to co-cultivate students, such as “2+2”、“3+1+1”、“4+1”、“3+1”，etc.

3、The project for teacher going abroad to take refresher course and scholarly exchange.

The exchange and cooperation of international education is taken a higher position in West Anhui University, and we are looking forward to cooperating with universities overseas in every aspect.

About Anhui Normal University

Founded in 1928, Anhui Normal University (AHNU) is the oldest institution in Anhui Province. It is located in Wuhu City which is adjacent to Shanghai and Nanjing and well-known as a land of fish and rice and nested in the southern bank of the Yangtze River. AHNU has benefitted from the spirit of the nature of the south of the Yangtze River and cherished the spirit of the humanities in Anhui. Anhui Normal University is a university jointly built by the Anhui Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Education, a university benefitting from the national “Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China”, a provincial key comprehensive university given priority by the Anhui Provincial Committee and the provincial government, and a key university with Anhui characteristics.

Presently, AHNU possesses 8 PhD first-level subjects, 6 post-doctoral research stations, 30 master degree first-level subjects, 15 authorization units for master’s degree, 18 provincial key subjects, 3 provincial major programs of subject construction and 92 undergraduate majors.

AHNU is one of the first universities in the country to be allowed to enroll foreign students who enjoy Chinese government scholarship. It is also one of national Chinese language education bases for the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council’s and the location of Anhui Province Chinese International Promotion Center.

Our university can meet different learning needs of short-term Chinese language training, long-term Chinese language study, Chinese Language and Literature and other disciplines of bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctor’s degree. We also have one-year and half-year programs; Chinese language and culture study summer camp and winter camp.

Anhui Normal University has the Chinese Government Scholarship, International Chinese Teacher Scholarship (Confucius Institute Scholarship), Anhui Provincial Government Scholarship, etc.
