Yunnan Land And Resources Vocational College is an independent state-owned public higher vocational college. It is one of the first two full-time vocational colleges established in Yunnan Province, and one of the first two “provincial demonstration higher vocational colleges” to be constructed. The school’s administrative department was changed from the original Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Geological and Mineral Exploration and Development to Yunnan Provincial Department of Education on October 11, 2018, becoming a new milestone in the school’s development history.

The College has three campuses, Yangzonghai, Economic Development Zone and Wuding, covering an area of 1051 mu. The total assets of the school reached 1967.2477 million yuan; The original value of fixed assets is 686.6813 million yuan, and the intangible assets are 94.7491 million yuan; The total value of teaching instruments and equipment reached 71.9649 million yuan; The construction of digital campus has been continuously promoted, and the construction of internal and external network, campus all-in-one card, security monitoring, central computer room, multimedia classroom, campus public broadcasting, network security, and digital campus application system has been fully launched; It has successfully entered the national list of “pilot universities for education informatization construction”. The College originated from the Technical School of the Geological Department of Yunnan Province, which was established in 1958. In April 2001, it was merged and restructured on the basis of the Technical School of Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Staff University of Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources.
