Wenzhou is located in the southeast of Zhejiang province, the central area of the Yangtze River Delta. It is a city with a long history and rich culture, known as the “Southeast landscape of the world” reputation.
Wenzhou is the city with the most tourism resources in Zhejiang Province, which is a collection of mountains, rivers, seas, lakes, islands and springs. Tourist attractions such as Yandang Mountain which is known as World Geopark, Jiangxin Island, Nanxi River, Tongling Mountain, Nanji Islands and Baidao Cave are all famous spots.

Founded in 2004, the university is the only comprehensive university in southern Zhejiang, Northern Fujian and eastern Jiangxi region. It covers an area of over 1973 and owns Chashan Campus and Xueyuan Road Campus.
