About Chengdu

Chengdu is the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province. Chengdu's history dates back to at least the 4th century B.C., when it served as capital for the Shu Kingdom. Artifacts from that dynasty are the focus of the Jinsha Site Museum. The city is also home to the famous Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a conservation center where visitors can view endangered giant pandas in a natural habitat. ― Google

About Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic

Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic was established in 1965. It is one of the earliest vocational education colleges approved by the Ministry of Education of China. It is a public full-time general college directly under the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. It is the first batch of 28 national exemplary higher vocational colleges in the country. One of the academies, once affiliated with Aviation Industry Corporation of China. The school covers an area of nearly 900 acres, and currently has more than 12,000 full-time students and more than 450 full-time teachers.

The school has always attached importance to international cooperation and exchanges, continuously expanding overseas platforms, promoting two-way exchanges between teachers and students, introducing international high-quality resources, implementing professional international benchmarking, promoting education in China, and serving the construction of the “Belt and Road”. Nearly 50 universities and educational institutions in Canada, South Korea, Thailand and other countries maintain close cooperative relations. In 2018, the school won the Higher Technical Skills Excellence Award of the World Federation of Vocational Education Colleges. It is the only college in western China that has won such a comprehensive international award. In 2019, the school was successfully selected as one of the “Top 50 Influential Vocational Colleges in the Asia-Pacific Region in 2019” and was recognized as the first batch of “Economics International College” in the Ministry of Education’s “Humanities Exchange and Economics Project”. The school will further optimize the layout of international cooperation, strengthen international capacity building, and continuously improve the level of internationalization of the school.

Chengdu Aeronautic Polytechnic is located in Longquanyi District, the core area of Chengdu’s eastward development, a national economic and technological development zone, and a world-class automobile industry city. The school is close to the core functional area of high-end manufacturing in the national-level Tianfu New District. The automobile industry around the campus is rapidly rising and clustering development, providing good corporate training conditions for school students. The campus has outstanding location advantages and convenient transportation. It is close to Shuangliu International Airport and Tianfu International Airport. The developed and convenient bus and subway system outside the campus connects Chengdu East Railway Station, Chunxi Road, Tianfu Square and Panda Base, making it easy to travel at any time.

In recent years we have established strong partnerships with 51 higher institutions in 18 countries and regions worldwide, and have gained remarkable achievements in faculty development, student exchanges, introduction of international scholars, recruitment of international students and Chinese-Foreign cooperation in running schools. The International Education School was founded at the end of 2017 to accelerate the pr0cess of internationalization of education in our college. The college has taken charge of teaching Chinese language for international students, developing international education related activities and providing language training for Chinese students who are willing to accept further study aboard.
