About China Youth University of Political Studies

China Youth University of Political Studies was founded in September 1948, its predecessor can be traced back to the Lenin Youth League School founded in December 1932 in Ruijin, Jiangxi province. It has the same roots as Lu Xun Youth School, Anwu Youth Training Class and Zedong Youth Cadre School, with red genes, long history and glorious tradition. In September 1985, the China Youth University of Political Science was founded on the basis of the Central League School. Since 2012, it has been jointly established by the Central League And the Ministry of Education. In November 2017, the first meeting of the 19th Central Leading Group for Comprehensively Deepening Reform deliberated and approved the Reform Plan of the Central Youth League School, making it clear that the fundamental positioning of the school is a political school with distinctive characteristics of the Party in the field of youth work, undertaking the important mission of training cadres for the party’s youth work; The brand and enrollment code of China Youth University for Political Sciences shall be clearly retained, and a small number of postgraduate education shall be continued to cultivate high-level professionals in youth work.

All the previous presidents of the University were held by the secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. Feng Wenbin, Hu Yaobang, Han Ying, Wang Zhaoguo, Hu Jintao, Song Defu, Li Keqiang, Zhou Qiang, Hu Chunhua, Lu Hao and Qin Yizhi were successively appointed as presidents of the University. The current head of the college is He Junke, first Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. The Party Committee of the University is in charge of the daily work, and the current Secretary of the Party Committee is Professor Ni Bangwen.

The university has three secondary institutions, including education and training, teaching and scientific research, and Party and government services. The univeristy holds high the great banner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, firmly grasps the fundamental principle of the Communist Party of China, and takes the education and training of league cadres as its main responsibility and business. It is the front for the Party to cultivate League cadres and young cadres. The school adheres to new ideas, new ideas and high standards in running schools. The university has master’s degree programs in Marxist theory and other first-level disciplines, and master’s degree programs in social work and other professional disciplines. The university strives to build a high-level talent training system that meets national standards and highlights the characteristics of party and league members.
