Founded in 1940, Chongqing University of Technology is one of the key universities in Chongqing. The school takes talent training as its fundamental task, and has formed a multi-disciplinary system of coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, management, economics, and law. The school recruits students from 31 provinces and cities across the country, focusing on undergraduate education, as well as postgraduate education, vocational and technical education, international student education, and continuing education. There are currently 20 party and government management institutions, 20 teaching institutions, 4 teaching auxiliary institutions, and 3 research institutions. The school has 66 undergraduate majors, including 4 national characteristic major construction sites, 15 provincial and ministerial characteristic major construction points, and 2 municipal comprehensive reform pilot majors. There are 15 first-level discipline master degree authorization points, 46 second-level discipline master degree authorization points, 10 professional degree authorization points, and 13 provincial (ministerial) level first-level key disciplines.
