some are nostalgic, some are expectant

no one no longer will quench the land

Await for an weightless era of falling
after the last noon, there’s naught but torpor
mottled black and white, copying morbidity
evaporating a thin layer of love

until, a slanted city can no longer hold
let the rapacious us dilute in the mass
don’t be nostalgic, for what love?

we are in the turns of the station
savoring every sweet and bitter
carry on carrying out in separate
repeat the rekindle and halt and abandon

cracks of memories, are naught but dust
stiffly recall, all words are pale
go forth alone, crave to be loved
come awake when astray

There were a lot of idioms that I had to look up. It was difficult as always to convey the full meaning while maintaining the structure, many compromises were made.
