Overview of the school

People’s Public Security University of China is a comprehensive university in the public security industry. It is the first institution of higher learning in the national public security system to carry out general higher education, the first institution of higher learning to carry out postgraduate training, and the only institution of higher learning to carry out doctoral education. It is also the only public security university with the most complete disciplines, the largest school running scale, the most complete education level, and currently the only one selected as the national “world-class discipline construction university”. Since its establishment, the university has trained and delivered more than 320000 leaders, business backbones and professionals at all levels for the national political, legal and public security organs and other units, known as the “cradle of police officers of the Republic”.

The University has two campuses, Muxidi and Tuanhe, covering an area of more than 1200 mu. The teaching and administrative rooms, venues and student (student) dormitories cover an area of more than 600000 square meters. The public security books in the library are the most complete in China, with a collection of more than 1.5 million books. The campus has complete teaching, scientific research, training and other facilities. There are many modern large-scale education and training venues, such as the police tactics training center, the police tactics training block, the police comprehensive training center, and the senior police training building. It is equipped with live ammunition shooting, scene simulation, swimming rescue, special driving, trace inspection, trace evidence analysis, police tactics command, criminal investigation, psychological testing, security technology Traffic management and control and other domestic first-class police training facilities.

School running objectives

According to the University running orientation of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, as the “pacesetter” of the national public security colleges, the school should take the lead in strengthening the “Four Consciousness”, strengthening the “Four Confidence”, achieving the “Two Safeguards”, building a socialist ideology with strong cohesion and leadership, implementing the overall national security concept, promoting discipline innovation and development, and implementing the goal of strengthening the country through education We should take the lead in the modernization of public security education, and strive to build a “domestic first-class and world leading” police academy with firm politics, distinctive characteristics and industry leadership.

Guiding ideology for running schools

Education and training and talent cultivation

In line with the national security strategy for the new era, the modernization of public security work, the revolutionization, normalization, professionalization of public security forces, and the demand for high-quality talents, we adhere to the coordinated and integrated development of higher education and on-the-job training, and have formed a system of higher education, including undergraduate, second degree, master’s, doctoral, and adult higher education Foreign students’ education and other full level and multi category academic education systems, as well as various series and multi category in-service training systems, including senior police officer training, public security business training, military security cadre training, Hong Kong and Macao disciplinary force training, foreign police and law enforcement officers training. At present, the school has more than 13000 students, with an annual training of more than 10000 person times. In 2012, the Central Political and Legal Commission and the Ministry of Education approved the school to set up an “education and training base for application-oriented and compound outstanding legal talents”. In February 2014, the Ministry of Education approved the School’s Public Security Law Enforcement Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center as a national virtual simulation experimental teaching center. In March 2014, the Ministry of Public Security approved the school to set up a practical police training base of the Ministry of Public Security.

Teaching and training institutions

The University has 11 teaching colleges, including the College of Marxism, the College of Law, the College of Criminology, the School of Police Sports and War Training, the School of Public Security Management, the School of National Security, the School of Public Security, the School of Traffic Management, the School of Investigation, the School of Information Network Security, the School of Foreign related Police Affairs, as well as graduate schools and continuing education schools; There are three training institutions, including the Training Department, the Military Security Academy and the Foreign Police Training Department.
