牡丹红紫艳春天,

檀板[1]朱丝锦色笺。

头白江南一尊酒,

无人知是李龟年[2]。

注释:

[1]檀板:用精致的檀木制成的乐器。

[2]李龟年:唐玄宗时的乐工,具有极高的音乐天赋,人称“乐圣”。

A Songster on West Lake[1]

Dai Biaoyuan

Peonies pink or violet embellish spring;

Beside the music score lie clappers with red string.

A white-haired man with cup of wine on southern shore,

Nobody knows he was the songster all adore.

注释:

[1]After the downfall of the Southern Song Dynasty, the poet regretted that the famous songster became unknown even on West Lake.
