About Sichuan Aerospace Vocational College

Sichuan Aerospace Vocational College is a public full-time general institution of higher learning approved by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. Model higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province. The college is located in Longquanyi, a national-level Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone with aerospace technology and automobile industry as its pillar industries. It has built a new campus in Guanghan, a famous ancient Shu cultural city, forming a “one school, two districts” school structure.

Relying on the superior resources of aerospace and inheriting the excellent culture of aerospace, the college is now listed as a national high-skilled personnel training base, a national high-skilled personnel training demonstration base, a national defense science and technology industry vocational education training base, a national electromechanical project high-skilled personnel training base, and a national vocational The Skills Appraisal Institute and the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation High-Skilled Personnel Training Center were awarded the National Staff Education and Training Demonstration Site by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

The college takes the road of open education and has long-term cooperation with British Columbia Institute of Technology in Canada, TAFE College of Southwest Sydney in Australia, Ngee Ann Institute of Technology in Singapore, Novosibirsk University of Technology in Russia, Shude University of Technology in Taiwan, and Gloucestershire College in the United Kingdom. Exchanging professors and international students for exchange and learning; cooperating with Australia’s Box Hill College to hold a full-time unified recruitment logistics management and numerical control technology professional education project; cooperating with the Italian Cuneo Academy of Fine Arts to hold a digital media application technology professional education project; and Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology and Xichang College have launched a cross-university “college to undergraduate” program, and cooperated with Sichuan University and Southwest University of Science and Technology to develop a program of undergraduate study.

The employment rate of college graduates has reached more than 98%, and it has been rated as an advanced unit in the employment of ordinary college graduates in Sichuan Province. The college has signed long-term employment agreements with China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Aviation Industry Corporation, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd., and Intel (Products) Chengdu Co., Ltd. “Class”, “Volvo Class” and “Intel Class” have implemented order training and established a wide employment network and unblocked employment channels.

The talent training level of the college has been fully recognized by the education authority, superior leaders and the society. Leaders from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau, and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation have visited the school many times to inspect and guide the work. Sun Jiadong, the winner of the National Highest Science and Technology Award and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, wrote an inscription for the academy: “Promote the Aerospace Spirit and Cultivate Outstanding Talents.” Space hero Yang Liwei wrote an inscription for the academy: “Promote the spirit of manned spaceflight and cultivate outstanding talents in space”.
