About Zhejiang Police College

Zhejiang Police College is the only undergraduate university in Zhejiang Province that cultivates specialized talents in public security. It is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate education, in-service civilian police training, public security theory research and security of major events, and is the main channel for new police manpower, the main training ground for in-service civilian police, the main platform for public security theory research, and the main force for major security tasks in the province.

The school has two campuses in Binjiang and Lin’an, with a beautiful campus environment and complete teaching and research facilities. Four majors, including Foreign Police, Network Security and Law Enforcement, Public Security, and Traffic Management Engineering, are national first-class undergraduate majors, and four majors, including Investigation, Criminal Science and Technology, Economic Crime Investigation, and Police Command and Tactics, are provincial first-class undergraduate majors. In 2021, the university was approved by the Academic Committee of the State Council as a master’s degree awarding unit, and obtained the qualification of authorizing a master’s degree in policing.

The school has a team of teachers with high teaching standards, profound academic attainments, rich experience in public security practice, excellent quality and reasonable structure. There are 2 provincial subject leaders, 8 provincial young and middle-aged subject leaders, 17 “151” talents project third-level training objects, and 14 provincial college leading talents training objects. The university has 2 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration sites, 6 experimental teaching centres (49 laboratories under them) and 29 practical training places such as multi-functional indoor shooting ranges. The library has 842,000 volumes of literature, 813 Chinese and foreign language newspapers and periodicals, 2,602,000 local mirror electronic books and 14 databases, and is one of the first schools to demonstrate the construction of digital campus in Zhejiang Province.

The university actively carries out international academic exchanges and has established cooperation with universities or police agencies in more than 10 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, Japan and Italy, and cooperates with famous universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University and China Criminal Police Academy to cultivate top innovative talents, and more than one hundred students are selected to study in universities at home and abroad every year. Every year, the university recruits foreign students and carries out international police personnel training.
