远与君别者，乃至雁门关。
黄云[1]蔽千里，游子何时还？
送君如昨日，檐前露已团。
不惜蕙草[2]晚，所悲道里寒。
君在天一涯，妾身长别离。
愿一见颜色，不异琼树枝[3]。
菟丝[4]及水萍，所寄终不移。
注释：
[1] 黄云：尘埃和云相连而黄。这句写塞外景象。
[2] 蕙草：一种香草的名称。
[3] 琼树枝：传说中仙山上的树。
[4] 菟丝：一年生寄生草本植物。菟丝寄树，萍寄水，比喻人的忠贞。

As far as Gate of Wild Geese Pass.
Sandy clouds spread a thousand li!
O when will you come back to me?
It seems yesterday we bade adieu,
But now the eaves are wet with dew.
I care not for grass in decay,
But for you, cold far, far away.
You stay at the end of the sky,
Leaving your lonely wife to sigh
Could I see your face as I please,
I would be cured as by jade-trees.
As duckweeds miss the pool, and vine
The tree, for you I’ll ever pine.
