About Chengdu Agricultural College

Chengdu Agricultural College is the first higher vocational college sponsored by chengdu Municipal people’s government. The university was founded in 1937 as the provincial Chengdu Vocational college of Agriculture, which was commissioned by the College of Agriculture of Sichuan National University. Its predecessor was Sichuan Wenjiang Agricultural college established in 1958. In 2002, sichuan Provincial People’s Government approved the upgrade to higher vocational college; 2005 Chengdu Animal Husbandry and Veterinary college and Chengdu Mechanical and electrical Engineering college merged into the college. In 2006, THE university was awarded “Excellent” in the national evaluation of personnel training in higher vocational colleges, and was one of the first provincial demonstration higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province. In 2019, THE University was identified by the Ministry of Education as a National High-quality Vocational college and selected as a construction unit of “High-level Vocational colleges and Majors With Chinese Characteristics” (” Double High “Plan).
