About Hangzhou Vocational & Technical College

Hangzhou Vocational & Technical College is a full-time higher vocational institution sponsored by Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, its predecessor is Hangzhou Workers’ University, which was established by merging six schools of Hangzhou Machinery, Chemical, Textile, Silk, Light Industry and West Lake Electronics under Hangzhou Municipal Economic Committee system, and was prepared in 1998 and formally established in 2002. “In 2015, it passed the inspection and acceptance by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance with excellent grade and became a “national backbone higher vocational institution”, and in 2016, it became a construction unit of Zhejiang high-quality higher vocational institutions. “In December 2019, the school was listed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the construction unit (B grade) of high level vocational school with Chinese characteristics.

The school has nine secondary colleges, including Youjia Intelligent Manufacturing College, College of Commerce and Tourism, Dali Women’s College, Eco-Health College, College of Information Engineering, Geely Automobile College, Hangzhou Animation and Game College, Rainbow Fish Rehabilitation and Nursing College, and Special Equipment College, offering 42 majors (including professional directions) in 13 categories, such as CNC technology, information security, and biopharmaceuticals.
