Innocent eyes
struggle to stay open in the wind
My child wiggles in my arms
and waves his hands
On the cover of a forgotten book,
a little kid is laughing
and pointing to somewhere far away
The train car keeps rocking,
causing anxiety to spill from some of the passengers
Wildflowers on the riverbank can’t seem to recallthe disappointments they overheard
The ones awaiting the wind and the ones flying through the air
look so much alike
I quickly tie up my shoelaces
and put on a confident air
The door is cracked open,
and time rushes through the gap without regard
“Is that you?”
“Yes, it’s us”
“Are you tired?
How was your trip?”
Innocent eyes
struggle to stay open in the wind

On bare tree branches,
withered leaves still stubbornly hang on
as they dream about their future
The color of dusk behind the clouds
unveils the answer to their question
Clustered buildings conceal
defiant faces that refuse to give in
The ones recalling the past and the ones seeking the future
look so much alike
I quickly tie up my shoelaces
and put on a confident air
The door is cracked open,
and time rushes through the gap without regard

Forgotten in the storybook little child laughs alone pointing afar
車廂持續搖晃 打翻了好幾個人的不安
Continuous swaying of the car puts people at ease
河邊的野花記不住竊聽到的失望
Wildflowers by the stream does not remember the despair it hears
等著的飛走的 那麼的相像
Things we await and departed are so similar
悄悄的把鞋帶系好 自信的樣子
Quietly tie up shoelaces with confidence
