创作背景

　　作者终身处于牛李党争的夹缝之中，一生很不得志。牛李党争的实质就是太监当权，本诗就是讽刺太监当权的黑暗、讽刺宪宗的皇权旁落。子曰：“邦有道，则仕；邦无道，则可卷而怀之。”《嫦娥》即是“邦无道，则可卷而怀之”这类诗的典型。

Creation background
The author was caught in the crevice of the party struggle between Niu and Li all his life. The essence of the party struggle between Niu and Li is the eunuch’s power. This poem satirizes the darkness of the eunuch’s power and the imperial power of Xianzong. Confucius said, “If a country has morality, it will become an official; if a country has no morality, it will become an official.” Chang’e is a typical example of such poems as “If a country has no way, it can be recalled”.
