View from the Garden of Ding

Qian Qianyi[1]

The willow down afield waits for the evening tide;

A painted bridge leads to Peach Leaf by riverside.

At sunset water-limpid spring attracts my gaze.

O where’s the splendor of the Six Dynasties days!

注释:

[1]Qian Qianyi was one of the first Ming scholar-officials who declared his allegiance to the Qing conquerors, and was then accused of plotting against the Qing emperor.
