About Wuchang University of Technology

Founded in 1997, Wuchang University of Technology is a full-time undergraduate university with coordinated development of science, engineering, management, economics, literature, art, law, medicine and other disciplines. The university is located in “Wuhan • China Optics Valley”, covering an area of 828,100 square meters, with a building area of 444,000 square meters. It is located at the foot of the beautiful Menan Mountain, surrounded by Tangxun Lake, the largest urban lake in Asia, on three sides. The European-style buildings are hidden in the green mountains and rivers, and the picturesque scenery is one of the top ten campuses with beautiful lake scenery in China.

◆ Faculty strength. Adhering to the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, the university has a well-structured and high-quality faculty, and has formed a number of distinctive, influential and promising teaching and research teams in most subject areas. At present, there are 956 teachers and 241 doctors, among which 50.1% are teachers with senior professional title, 25.2% are teachers with doctor’s degree, and 40.6% are teachers with dual professional and dual ability. There are 18 experts and more than 20 foreign experts and professors enjoying subsidies from The State Council.

Teaching, research and living facilities. Each college has a teaching laboratory building. The average value of teaching and research equipment per student, the number of seats in multimedia classrooms and speech LABS, and the number of teaching computers all exceeded the “ministerial standards” issued by the Ministry of Education. Campus informatization ranks the leading level of similar universities in China.

There are 180 first-class professional laboratories with functions covering various disciplines. It has a large number of cutting-edge science and technology laboratories, such as industrial robot laboratory, VR technology laboratory, 3D printing laboratory, big data laboratory, network security laboratory, Internet of Things technology laboratory, UAV low altitude remote sensing laboratory, ion chromatography laboratory, biological information laboratory, studio, air crew training warehouse and so on. The library covers an area of 37,700 square meters with elegant environment and advanced facilities. It has a collection of 1.73 million paper books, 2.179 million electronic books and 125 electronic resource databases in Chinese and foreign languages.

To establish and implement the university quality education “three, two and one” talent training system, “three” is the three-dimensional quality training goal, “two” is the two basic paths, “one” is a set of evaluation system.

The goal of three-dimensional quality training is to improve college students’ quality as the fundamental purpose, formulate a three-dimensional integration of “general quality education as the basis, professional quality education as the core, innovative quality education as the high-level”, and achieve the three-dimensional quality training goal of “excellent general quality, solid professional quality, outstanding innovation quality”.

The employment rate of graduates has reached 95% for many years in a row, and the signing rate of graduates has ranked first among universities in Hubei Province for two consecutive years. Over the years, the college entrance examination admission score line is firmly in the forefront of similar universities; Nearly 30 percent of graduates are employed in top 500 enterprises and large domestic enterprises and public institutions. Wuchang University of Technology (WUT) is a private university for higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. After twenty years of development, it has become multi-disciplinary in harmonious development where management and engineering are core disciplines.

Situated in “Optics Valley of China” in the southeast part of Wuhan in Central China’s Hubei province.It is known as one of the top ten beautiful lake campuses in China. It is at the foothill of Mt.
