1. Xiamen University, known as a garden of mountains and the sea
Located at the southern end of Xiamen Island, Xiamen University covers an area of more than 1.7 square kilometers, with the South Putuo Temple on one side, the seaside and Hulishan Forte on the other. Xiamen University is known as one of the most beautiful university campuses in China. The early buildings of Xiamen University, including Qunxian Building, Jiannan Building, Furong Building and Xiamen University Museum of Anthropology, are listed as key cultural relics under national protection and are listed as “the first batch of Chinese 20th Century Architectural Heritage”. Xiamen University is adjacent to Baicheng Beach, with Lotus Lake, Palmetto Avenue and Love Valley inside. It is a garden of mountains and the sea. It is said that “a lovely place for dating”. Most of the old buildings in Xiamen University were built by the son-in-law of Mr. Tan Kah Kee. 2. Wuhan University, famous for cherry blossoms and palatial buildings
As one of the oldest universities in China, Wuhan University is reputed as “one of the most beautiful university campuses in China”. The campus of Wuhan University is famous for cherry blossoms, including Cherry Castle, Cherry Avenue, Cherry Peak, Luojia Square and other scenic spots. Every year in mid-March spring, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the campus of Wuhan University attracts millions of tourists from across the country to enjoy the scenery. Wuhan University is surrounded by East Lake and Luojia mountain located inside of the campus. 3. Peking University, famous for its royal architecture, classical gardens and Weiming Lake
The campus of Peking University, also known as Yanyuan, is adjacent to the Old Summer Palace and the Summer Palace. Because of its superior natural and geographical conditions, with springs inside whilst surrounded by mountains, it became a famous scenic spot in the suburbs of Beijing as early as the Jin Dynasty, and it was also the “grant garden” of the feudal emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. After Peking University moved to this campus in 1952, it has made full use of these classical garden foundations, reformed appropriately with traditions well maintained, adapted to the landscape inside and outside the garden area, and built a garden-like campus environment. The campus of Peking University has not only the grandeur of northern gardens, but also the beautiful features of Jiangnan landscape gardens. It is said that it has its own style by combining the spirit of Jiangnan landscape gardens. Here are not only pavilions and other classical buildings and rockery rocks, but also surrounded by mountains and water. 4. Sun Yat-sen University, famous for its Lingnan style architecture
Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, has a history of more than one hundred years. It is an important center for scientific research, cultural learning and personnel training in southern China. Sun Yat-sen University has a strong academic atmosphere, the trees and fragrance of flowers attracts birds to come, dignified and generous buildings show the charm of the southern scenery. The old buildings in the campus are generally Lingnan style, with red columns, yellow walls and blue tiles. The colors are garish but solemn, full of local traditional characteristics. The beauty of Sun Yat-sen University is unique and elegant. The Guanghan Palace and the Central Lawn are all dignified and elegant. The small hall, the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen, the black stone house, the small pavilion, the memorial archway of the jinshi of Yichou, the former residence of Chen yinke, the bronze statue of the eighteen sages, the yongfang hall, the Martin hall, and the north gate square of the university are all of high historical value. 5. Shenzhen University, near the mountain and sea, famous for its lychee forest
Shenzhen University is located in the Back Bay of Nanshan Mountains, with a beautiful environment surrounded by undulating hills and lakes outside the sea. 6. Tsinghua University, famous for its Royal Garden Architecture
Qinghua Garden, the main location of Tsinghua University, is located in the scenic landscape area in the northwest suburb of Beijing. It was a private garden in the Ming Dynasty. It became a part of the Old Summer Garden during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty and was called Xichun Garden. Tsinghua campus is divided into east and west areas according to the main south gate road (Xuetang Road). The western campus is the old campus, which is characterized by the American campus layout and many historical buildings with western style masonry structure. The eastern district is dominated by the Soviet-style main building built in the 1950s, as well as modern buildings such as the architecture hall, the Ming Li building, the School of Economics and Management and the Shaw Science and Technology Museum. In March 2010, the US financial magazine Forbes ranked “the most beautiful university campus in the world”. Tsinghua University is one of the 14 Asian universities on the list.

7. Yunnan University, famous for its Ginkgo Avenue and beautiful scenery
Yunnan University is located in Wuhua District of Kunming City, adjacent to Cuihu Park. With beautiful scenery and quiet environment, Yunnan University is a must for visitors to wander and experience the academic atmosphere. After entering the campus from the south gate, there are 95 steps, implying “the honor of the Ninth Five”. After climbing the 95 steps, you will come to the Hui Ze Yuan. Ginkgo Avenue is a must see scenery in the campus , located in the north of the astronomical point, near Wenyuan Building.

8. Sichuan University, famous for its ancient buildings and the ginkgo street
Sichuan University is a national university with three campuses in Wangjiang , Huaxi and Jiang ‘an. In 2013, the early buildings of Sichuan University were listed by the State Council as the seventh batch of key cultural relics under national protection. The campus construction of Sichuan University is quite unique, the three campuses are different from each other. The administration building of Wangjiang Campus, designed by the architect Mr. Liang Sicheng, has been listed as a national cultural relic protection building and has become a landmark building of Sichuan University. Huaxi Campus was formerly known as West China Union University at the beginning of the last century. The old buildings on the campus are all black brick with red columns. The bell tower on the campus has been in operation for about 80 years and is the landmark building of Huaxi district. On the other hand, Jiang ‘an Campus concentrates all kinds of buildings on a 2.2km circuit. There is also Changqiao, the longest pedestrian bridge of all domestic universities campuses. In addition to the ancient buildings, the Lotus Pond in summer and the Ginkgo in autumn are all very distinctive. 9. Soochow University, famous for the the architectural style of the Republic of China period and the fragrans
Soochow University is located in the ancient city of Suzhou, known as “heaven on earth”, with a large number of buildings in the style of the Republic of China period. Many film crews, such as My Sunshine, have been to the main campus of Soochow University for shooting. The main scenic spot of Soochow University is located in Tianci Village Campus (the main campus), which is entered from the north gate of the campus.
