2.Four regions with an excellent education in China
Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Hubei are the top four regions in the newly released ranking of education level and competitiveness.
(1) Beijing
Beijing, as China’s political and cultural center, has extremely developed higher education resources, far more than any province, city, or municipality directly under the central government in China.
It has 75 public universities, of which 26 schools are “211” or above, and 8 schools are “985” first-class universities.
They are Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China Agricultural University, and Central University for nationalities.
The remaining 18 schools are “211” engineering universities with balanced distribution in various fields.
In addition, Beijing also has a large number of well-known national key universities that are not part of the “985” and “211” projects, such as Beijing Language and Culture University, School of foreign affairs, Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, School of international relations, and so on, which rank first in the country.
(2) Shanghai
As the starting point of China’s economy, Shanghai’s university resources are particularly developed.
It has 44 public universities, including 9 schools are “211” double first-class universities and 4 schools are “985” engineering universities, namely Fudan University, Shanghai JiaoTong University, Tongji University, and East China Normal University.
The other five are “211” engineering universities, among which Shanghai University of Finance and economics is one of the top universities in China, with very high admission scores.
In addition, Shanghai Customs University, Shanghai University of Applied Technology, and other universities are also very good in employment, and their admission scores are among the first batch of universities with undergraduate admission scores.
(3) Jiangsu Province
The foundation of Jiangsu’s rich higher education resources was certainly laid in the period of the Republic of China.
The contribution of a National Central University (now Nanjing University retains its main body) supported the whole university circle of Nanjing.
There are 11 schools are “211” engineering universities, including two “985” projects in Nanjing University and Southeast University, and one “211” engineering strong university in comprehensive, medical, normal, science and engineering, agriculture, aerospace, water conservancy, mining, etc. Among them, Suzhou University, a comprehensive university, has made brilliant achievements.
Among the outstanding universities, Jiangsu University has also performed very well.
(4) Hubei Province
Hubei is the largest province of higher education in Central China.
There are 7 schools are “211” projects and 2 schools are “985” projects (Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, all of which are the top 15 universities). The distribution of Arts and Sciences is balanced.
Among the “211” project universities, Huazhong Normal University has a strong strength. Huazhong Agricultural University has more than half of the first-class disciplines.
The “985” Engineering University, Central South University of economics and law, Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan University of Science And Technology, Wuhan University of science and technology, etc China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) is a leading university in the industry.
In addition, the number of the first and second batch of undergraduate universities in Wuhan is also large, with a wide range of schools at all levels.
