秋风吹木叶[1]，
还似洞庭波。
常山[2]临代郡[3]，
亭障[4]绕黄河。
心悲异方[5]乐，
肠断陇头歌[6]。
薄暮临[7]征马，
失道北山阿[8]。
注释：
[1] 木叶：树叶。
[2] 常山：亦名恒山，在今河北省曲阳县西北一百四十里。
[3] 代郡：秦所设置，领代县等四县之地，约当今河北蔚县以及山西省东北部分地区。
[4] 亭障：古代防守边境的堡垒。
[5] 异方：指北方。
[6] 陇头歌：《乐府诗集》有《陇头歌辞》，其三：“陇头流水，鸣声呜咽，遥望秦川，心肝断绝。”
[7] 临：面对。
[8] 山阿：山之曲处。
Crossing the Yellow River to the North
Wang Bao[1]
The autumn breeze blows down sear leaves
As waves of Southern Lake it grieves.
High mountains o’erlook northern land;
On Yellow River remparts stand.
On hearing music strange, I start;
The Sobbing Stream’s Song breaks my heart.
At dusk my horse has gone astray;
In Northern Col I’ve lost my way.
