戚戚[1]苦无悰[2]，
携手共行乐。
寻云陟[3]累[4]榭[5]，
随山望菌阁[6]。
远树暧[7]阡阡[8]，
生烟纷漠漠[9]。
鱼戏新荷动，
鸟散余花落。
不对芳春酒[10]，
还望青山郭。
注释：
[1] 戚戚：愁闷不能排解的样子。
[2] 悰：心情，情绪。
[3] 陟：升高，攀登。
[4] 累：重叠。
[5] 榭：建筑在台上的房屋。
[6] 菌阁：檐似菌形的华美楼阁。
[7] 暧：昏暗的样子。
[8] 阡阡：树木茂盛的样子。
[9] 漠漠：密布的样子。
[10] 芳春酒：芳香的春酒，即美酒。

Xie Tiao
Cheerless, I’m dreary beyond measure;
We go hand in hand to seek pleasure.
We enjoy clouds from height to height
And see from hilltop sight on sight.
On gloomy woods I gaze and gaze;
Mist and smoke rise like haze in haze.
Fish play among new lotus leaves;
Birds gone, the fallen flower grieves.
I would not drink sweet vernal wine,
But linger before mountains fine.
