- 8 countries in South Asia: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan.
- 5 Central Asian states: Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan,Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan
- CIS 7 countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Moldova.
- 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe: Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, and Macedonia.

According to information published by Sohu.com, most universities in China have established “One Belt One Road” scholarships, including the following schools:
1. Renmin University of China
Liu Wei, president of the Renmin University of China, released the “One Belt One Road” story series, and Chinese University will continue to promote institutional reform and innovation, strive to build new think tanks with Chinese characteristics, build professional think tank teams, promote policy communication among countries, and connect people’s hearts, lay a solid foundation for policies, public opinion, and ideas for building the One Belt One Road, and provide more impetus for policy dialogue with consultation among countries along with that.
2. Beijing Foreign Studies University
Beijing Foreign Studies University has added 11 minor language majors this year. By 2020, the school plans to offer more than 100 foreign Chinese courses that will cover all official languages of countries that have established diplomatic relations with China. The aim is to promote language interoperability among countries along the One Belt One Road Route, while better providing intellectual support for the One Belt One Road initiative.
3. Beijing JiaoTong University
One Belt One Road is the responsibility of Beijing Jiaotong University to promote interconnection. CaoGuoyong, Secretary of the Party committee of Beijing Jiaotong University, said: “in the past three years, 1766 international students from nearly 100 countries have come to Beijing Jiaotong University to study in 50 majors, including undergraduate, master and doctoral.
4. Beijing Sports University
According to May 18, 2017 news, Beijing Sports University plans to invest 5 million yuan a year to set up a “One Belt One Road” sports talent scholarship program, to attract sports talents from countries along the route to study, for the country along with the training of high-specification sports talent. Scholarships will be mainly used to recruit high-end international ice and snow sports professionals and long-term students.
5. Beijing University of Chinese Medicine
On January 10, 2017, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, in order to implement the “One Belt One Road” education initiative of the Ministry of Education of China, especially established the “One Belt One Road” scholarship for foreign students from Beijing, and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was selected.
6. Beijing United University
In 2017, Beijing United University received a “One Belt One Road” scholarship (municipal) budget for foreign students, with a total of 1.5 million yuan.

19. Tsinghua University
One Belt One Road scholarship ceremony was held jointly by Inditex group and Tsinghua University in 2019 in Tsinghua University -Inditex. One Belt One Road of cultural exchange organized by the Tsinghua University foundation provides scholarships for 50 students from 9 countries along the “One Belt One Road”.
The total amount of this year’s scholarship is RMB 500000, which is an integral part of the framework agreement signed by Mr. Pablo Isla, executive chairman of INDITEX group, and Mr. Yang Bin, vice president of Tsinghua University in May 2018.
20. Renmin University of China
April 26, 2018, the Renmin University of China School of Silk Road announced that this year, 50 countries and 100 overseas students will be enrolled in the “One Belt One Road” area, and will provide a full scholarship.
21. Huaqiao University
On September 24, 2019, Huaqiao University one time awarded the “One Belt One Road” Chinese student scholarship award. 36 overseas Chinese students from 6 countries in Malaysia, Laos, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia, and Kampuchea won the prize. One Belt One Road, Huaqiao University, which is a full-time bachelor of Arts degree, is awarded the 123 prizes. The reward amount is 40 thousand yuan, 20 thousand yuan, and 10 thousand yuan respectively. Among the 36 overseas Chinese students who won the first prize, 14 won the second prize, 22 won the third prize, and the first prize was vacant.
22. Central University for Nationalities
The school established a “scholarship abroad scholarship” on April 17, 2018.
23. Shandong University
Therefore, the One Belt One Road scholarship was first established in Shandong University in the forenoon of October 29, 2015.
24. Peking University
In November 2018, One Belt One Road was sent to China to study for undergraduate and master’s degrees. The Confucius Institute Headquarters of Peking University established the “one belt and one way” Confucius college scholarship.
