Drunk in Time of Peace
· Longing for Love

Liu Guo

With heart and mind aspiring high,
With eyebrows long and forehead dark,
In moonlit bower to play on zither I try.
O vernal wind, O hark!

I think of you, I long for you, unseen
Even in my dream, O beloved of mine!
When incense warms the mica screen,
What can I do when I’m awake from wine?

注释:
This lyric describes a fair zither player thinking of her beloved.
