Qian Qi –

Mount Lu Viewed in Rain

Qian Qi

I can’t climb up Mount Lu nearby,

For it is veiled in wind and rain.

I doubt in cloud and mist on high

If holy men of old remain.

Qian Qi –

The poem “Mount Lu Viewed in Rain” is a five-line poem written by the poet Qian Cheng in the Tang Dynasty.
The poem reproduces the poet’s lofty sentiments with a suspicious imagination. In writing, it seems to use the “swell” writing technique in Chinese painting, with light ink to render the smoky clouds and water, virtual and real, the Lushan written confusing, thus replacing the tangible ink and brush of the frontal writing of the mountain, can indeed be regarded as a masterpiece of the landscape poetry with a special mood.
