Song of Southern Country
Mume Blossoms for Yang Yuansu

Su Shi
On the fence perch birds feeling cold,
To view the blooms of jade they dispute for branch old.
Seeing a guest sit under flowers, they fly up
And scatter petals over his wine cup.
Writing verses and drinking wine,
The guest knows not he’s not sitting on felt fine.
Wine cup dried up, spring comes with fallen flower.
Leave here! The branch has felt a little sour.

注释:
This lyric written for Yang Yuansu, governor of Hangzhou, shows the love of the two friends for the mume blossoms.

Nanxiangzi – Plum Blossom Lyrics and Yang Element” is a lyric written by Su Shi, a writer of the Northern Song Dynasty. The upper piece of the lyric is about watching plum blossoms in his own place. The upper part of the lyric is about his own view of plum blossoms. The clear and high chill of plum blossoms comes from the cold birds gathering branches and fighting to see the blossoms. The next piece of false writing on the other side of the plum, plum of the elegant rhyme from the elegant people linger, poetry and wine wind flow out. The whole word does not paint, away from the shape to take the spirit, the combination of reality. It is a very interesting reading.
