[1]苏幕遮：此调原为西域传入唐教坊曲。“苏幕遮”是当时高昌国语之音译，宋代词家用此调是另度新曲，又名《云雾敛》《鬓云松令》。

Clouds veil emerald sky,
Leaves strewn in yellow dye.
Waves rise in autumn hue
And blend with mist cold and green in view.
Hills steeped in slanting sunlight, sky and waves seem one;
Unfeeling grass grows sweet beyond the setting sun.
A homesick heart,
When far apart,
Lost in thoughts deep,
Night by night but sweet dreams can lull me into sleep.
Don’t lean alone on rails when the bright moon appears!
Wine in sad bowels would turn to nostalgic tears.

“Waterbag Dance” is a lyric by Fan Zhongyan, a writer of the Song Dynasty. It is a lyric describing the nostalgia of travel. It depicts the vast and pale scenery of blue clouds, yellow leaves, cold waves, green smoke, fragrant grass, slanting sun, and water and sky, outlining a clear and distant autumn scene, expressing the deep feelings of being unable to sleep at night, leaning alone in a high building, drinking wine to quench sorrow, and missing home. The first section focuses on the scenery, which sets the background for the lyricism of the next section with its grand and mellow atmosphere and far-reaching mood; the second section focuses on the lyricism, which expresses the emotions of the heart, with a strong voice and emotion and a deep and ebullient mood. The main feature is that it is able to express the sorrowful thoughts in a sober and majestic way, showing the tender side of Fan Zhongyan’s words. The famous lines from “The Western Chamber” are used in this song: “The blue clouds, the yellow flowers, the tight west wind, the north geese flying south”.
