Moonlit Lugou Bridge at Dawn
To the Tune of Plucking Laurel

Xianyu Biren
Out of the capital red-tasselled whips are flying.
The moonlit mountains are looming,
The woods are misty and waving.
The bridge across the river surging,
Across the border regions vehicles rumbling,
Against the sky the railings are leaning.
Like a sleeping dragon a cloud of smoke blowing,
Like the clouds drifting the lofty rainbow hanging.
Road in mist and distant bells coming,
Like ants dim figures are crawling,
To the moon palace from the bridge crossing.
