高楼风雨感斯文，
短翼差池[2]不及群。
刻意伤春复伤别，
人间惟有杜司勋。
风雨之日，李商隐登楼感叹杜牧诗文，欣赏其才华、悲叹其命运，既是在说杜牧，也是在说自己。

[1]杜司勋：即杜牧。
[2]差池：指燕飞时尾羽参差不齐。出自《诗经·国风·邶风·燕燕》：“燕燕于飞，差池其羽。”
For Du Mu
Your verse exhales spring wind and rain in tower high,
Left far behind with my short swallow wings,I sigh.
At parting spring and parting with friends old and new,
Who in the world is drowned in deeper grief than you?
