Author’s comments:
The song is about memory a past relationship. It talked about how one put in a lot of effort in that relationship, and also feels very vulnerable or uncertain about him or herself at the same time. The singer expressed that her fear about the relationship, it is like snow layers covering ancient long street, tranquil and beautiful, yet unstable and fragile. Everything would change after sun comes out. She also compares her lover as a letter, as someone she set certain objective or goals on. She worked so hard to pursue it, and in the end she forgot to enjoy the whole thing.
And in the end the relationship ends, not totally surprising to the girl also. And she concludes it as fated, as butterfly couldn’t fly over the ocean, no matter how hard she worked on it, it is not her failure, it is not her fault.
