年年社日停针线，
怎忍见、双飞燕？
今日江城春已半，
一身犹在，乱山深处，
寂寞溪桥畔。
春衫著破谁针线，

Each year we do no needlework on holiday.
How can I bear
To see swallows in pair?
In riverside town spring’s half gone away.
Poor I live still
Deep in the hill,
Lonely by riverside.
Who would mend your clothes outworn,

When you unsaddle your horse? Who’d adorn
Your hat with flowers fine,
And fill your cup with wine,
And care for you when you are drunk,
And when the sun is sunk?
