到得岛上，黄蓉领着郭靖在曲曲折折的林中小道上穿行。黄蓉突然停住了脚步，指着前面问道:“那是什么?”郭靖抢上几步，只见一匹黄马倒死在地，正是三师父韩宝驹的坐骑。

此墓是黄蓉之母埋骨的地方。黄蓉见墓门洞开，隐约料知岛上已生巨变，他们弯腰人门见墓道中石壁碎裂，显然是经过一番恶斗，两人惊疑不定。再往里一片昏暗，郭靖取出火折晃亮。

二人一言不发，穿过竹林，跨越荷塘，到了黄药师所居的精舍之前，但见那精舍已给打得东倒西歪，遍地都是断梁折柱。黄蓉见状大叫:“爹爹爹爹!”却哪里有黄药师的踪影。
