Coming back from the East

Liang Qichao

I stretch my sight in evening light to central spheres.

If I’d fulfill my ideal of a hundred years,

I’d not regret the copious tears and blood we’re shed,

I’m not afraid to lose even my worthy head.

The cuckoo would weep over the forbidden bower,

The crane would leave the overthrown imperial tower.

How to revenge the humiliation and the wrong?

Striking my breast,I would sing a heroic song.
