我梦扬州，便想到扬州梦我。
第一是隋堤绿柳，不堪烟锁。
潮打三更瓜步[1]月，
雨荒十里红桥火。
更红鲜冷淡不成圆，樱桃颗。
何日向，江村躲；
何日上，江楼卧。
有诗人某某，酒人个个。
花径不无新点缀，沙鸥颇有闲功课[2]。
将白头供作折腰人[3]，将毋左[4]。

[2]闲功课：闲暇的时间。
[3]折腰人：指作者本人，自谦的说法。
[4]左：违背，相逆。

Could I forget the bank of willows green
Veiled in mist screen?
At the foot of the hill upsurges the moonlit tide,
The bank and bridge sprinkled with rain far and wide.
The garden overspread
With cherries round and red.
Where could shelter be found
In the riverside bower?
When could I lie around
The riverside high tower?
With poets of verse fine
And drinkers of wine,
I would adorn the blooming path with pleasure
When sea gulls on the beach enjoy their leisure.
Why should a white-haired old man bow
To those with haughty brow?
