中秋月[1]

苏轼

暮云收尽溢[2]轻寒[3],

银汉[4]无声转玉盘[5]。

此生此夜不长好,

明月明年何处看?

注释:

[1] 《千家诗》注说:“银汉即天河;玉盘,月也。言薄暮之云,因风收尽,清寒习习而生。碧天银汉,秋声寂然,而明月转升于天际,如玉盘之圆莹而辉光也。自我有生,凡值中秋之夜,明月多为风云所掩,而不常见此清光,又自出仕以来,迁转之地不一。今年在此处见此明月,明年中秋,又不知在何处看月也。好景难逢,良宵难值,人生良遇难期,何不及时行乐乎?”这首诗有好景不长,人世沧桑之感。

[2] 溢:溢出,水满外流。

[3] 清寒:指清冷皎洁的月光。

[4] 银汉:银河。

[5] 玉盘:指月亮。

Su Shi

Evening clouds withdrawn, pure cold air floods the sky;

The River of Stars mute, a fine plate turns on high.

How often can we have a fine Mid-autumn Night?

Where shall we view next year a silver moon as bright?
