白居易既然号香山居士，所谓居士，是在家修菩提果，行菩萨道之人，故此词又不得不从白居易的身份考虑。
花非花：其实说的是自然界的真实状况，是对作者修行证悟的最好说明。也就是说花的长成，并不是因为人们给他们命名为花而长成。就像你的名字，并不可代表你这个人。而是人为的一种称呼。而这种行为在修道之中，被称为污染了人心。
雾非雾：同上。前一个雾如果指的是“雾”这个自然现象，那么显然不是“雾”这个大家所认为的汉字。
来如春梦几多时：所以下面这句正好点名了作者的心思。对人生如梦幻泡影，如雾亦如电的感慨。更是作者在体悟到人生，明白了花非花，雾非雾这个道理之后，对自己的“之前”，以及对仍未明白的人的一种感慨。
去似朝云无觅处：同上。人来人往，人生苦短，命运多舛。你的今天是手足俱全的人，死了之后，就是一堆骨灰。这就是作者体悟到的世事无常。一切色相皆是空的感悟啊。一颗真心，谁能解？来如春梦兮去似朝云。
analysis
Since Bai Juyi is a resident of Xiangshan, the so-called resident is a person who practices Bodhi fruit and Bodhisattva’s way at home, so this word has to be considered from Bai Juyi’s identity.
Flowers are not flowers: in fact, it is the real situation of nature and the best illustration of the author’s practice and enlightenment. That is to say, flowers grow not because people name them flowers. Just like your name, it doesn’t represent you. It is an artificial name. This kind of behavior is said to pollute people’s hearts in the practice of monasticism.
Fog and non fog: the same as above. If the former fog refers to the natural phenomenon of “fog”, it is obviously not the Chinese character that everyone thinks of as “fog”.
How long has it been like a spring dream? So the following sentence just named the author’s mind. Life is like a dream bubble, fog and electricity. What’s more, after the author realized life and understood the truth that flowers are not flowers and fog is not fog, he sighed with emotion about his “before” and people who still do not understand.
It seems that there is nowhere to be found in the morning clouds: the same as above. People come and go. Life is short and ill fated. You are a man of all hands and feet today. After you die, you are a pile of ashes. This is what the author realized that things are impermanent. All colors are empty perception. A true heart, who can solve it? Come like a spring dream and go like a morning cloud.
