A Wife’s Thoughts (III)

Xu Wo

The floating cloud is like an ocean.

Will it convey my heart’s emotion?

On wafting cloud I can’t rely;

I pace up and down with a sigh.

Men part but they will meet again.

Why lonely should I e’er remain?

Since you left me and went away,

My mirror’s dusted with each day.

My thoughts of you like river flow.

O when can they no longer grow?
