When I crossed the plank bridges, brooks’ gurgling from springs I heard.
On thatched cottage eaves at midday hens cackled and cackled.
“Don’t hate the cloudy smoke from the baked tea,” the farmer said.
“We are very much pleased by the fine day to air out grain.”
