The Silver River[2]bars the sky;
The Dipper rises from low to high.
The stars in vain may swim or sink.
O do they know of whom I think?
The lonely lamp sheds its dim lights,
I weave till dawn replaces cold night.
To whom to shed my tears and woe?
In vain I sigh to hear cocks crow.
