行行重行行,与君生别离[2]。

相去万余里,各在天一涯。

道路阻且长,会面安可知?

胡马依北风,越鸟巢南枝。

相去日已远,衣带日已缓。

浮云蔽白日,游子不顾返。

思君令人老,岁月忽已晚。

弃捐勿复道,努力加餐饭。

注释:

[1] 重行行:行了又行,走个不停。

[2] 生别离:永远别离,指分别之后难以再聚。

You travel on and on,

Leaving me all alone.

Long miles between us lie

As earth apart from sky.

The road is steep and far;

I can’t go where you are.

Northern steeds love cold breeze,

And southern birds warm trees.

The farther you’re away;

The thinner I’m each day.

The cloud has veiled the sun;

You won’t come back, dear one.

Missing you makes me old;

Soon comes the winter cold.

Alas! Of me you’re quit;

I wish you will keep fit.
