Wang Feng – 再見青春 ~ lyrics + English Translation

Artist: Wang Feng (汪峰)

Goodbye Youth

I’ll depart at a daybreak of deep autumn
With the tremblement of iron carriage of train
With the fragrance of wild crysanthemum’s blossom
(I) depart at {the daybreak when dreams shattered}

Goodbye youth
Goodbye beautiful pain
Goodbye youth
Everlasting confusion

The rain will drop through the fingers of memory
With bluebird waving in the blood
With straw hat lamenting in the wind
Drop from the flaming wind

Goodbye youth
Goodbye beautiful pain
Goodbye youth
Permanent home

Goodbye youth
Goodbye gorgeous sadness
Goodbye youth
Everlasting confusion

I sank with missing ship( s )
Fell into the ravishing empty shattered dream( s )
Sank into the deep valley frozen with various desires
Sank with countless brilliant stars

Seeing the scarred prosperity
I felt the stabbing melancholy
I listened to the bang of my heart’s explosion
Trapped in the abysmal sorrow

Author’s comments:
[1]”Flaming wind” means “burning wind”,not “angry” or “orange or bright red in colour”;
[2]”Home” in “Permanent home” means “where you came from/belong”,rather than “house that you live”.

Oh it take me a lot of effort to translate it,for the lyrics is a bit hard to translate. It contains some literary words and Chinese idioms of four characters,so I had to find appropriate words to express them.Luckily,I think I’ve expressed 99% of its meaning!
