白日丽飞甍[4]，参差[5]皆可见。
余霞散成绮[6]，澄江静如练[7]。
喧鸟覆春洲，杂英满芳甸[8]。
去矣方滞淫[9]，怀哉[10]罢欢宴。
佳期[11]怅[12]何许[13]，泪下如流霰[14]。
有情知望乡，谁能鬒[15]不变？

Gazing at Dusk on the Capital from the Three Peaks
Xie Tiao
I’m flying high in boundless sky.
Like poets of those bygone days.
Fixing on capital their gaze,
I see afar the high and low.
Winglike tiled roofs in sunset’s glow.
The colored clouds spread like brocade;
The river’s clear as silver braid.
The islet’s loud with birds’spring songs;
The shore’s fragrant with blooms in throngs
I linger while going away,
Missing both merry night and day.
When may I come to feast again?
My tears stream down like pearls of rain.
A homesick heart longs to be back.
Could my hair not turn grey from black?
